*Home for the night, hello full-sized keyboard. If I type lively instead of lovely on my ipod one more time, I might scream.

I've actually only got a week and three days left of housesitting, I am somewhere between bummed and elated.

Tomorrow is a day of cleaning and disinfecting the house; my grandad had chemo today and he's having a blood transfusion tomorrow, and I know the chemo at least makes him very susceptible to germs.

*About to watch the final ep of Game of Thrones, finally, insert sobbing noises here. I have to say, I really enjoyed the series, having gone into it knowing absolutely nothing. I could do without the constant gratuitous violence, I'm forever watching the show through my fingers like a wuss, but then, this is HBO, I wasn't really expecting subtlety.

In related news, I would allcaps L-O-V-E to see Colin or Bradley in a guest role on that show *___*

*Lately, I've had to restrain myself from asking Bradley, via twitter, what Hogwarts house he thinks he'd be sorted into, because I don't want to give my friends second hand embarrassment. IT IS A FIERCE INTERNAL STRUGGLE THOUGH. I really want to know if he thinks he's a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff.

The things I waste my time thinking about, I swear to fucking god.

*Oh, so Pottermore? Still not entirely sure what it is but I am excited about new canon information from JKR. Are any of you going to sign up for the beta testing of the site?

The only thing that's made me a bit sad about this whole thing is that I guess this negates the need for the long-rumoured encyclopaedia? I was looking forward to holding more Potter in my hand.

Went and saw Deathly Hallows again on Friday and I can confidently give it the thumbs up now. The most important thing I noticed this time around? Rupert Grint's forearms. Rawwwr.

Officially blocked in a writer-ly way, which is INCONVENIENT as I owe some lovely people Christmas fic and I'm not going to be that person who flakes, I'M NOT. I think it may be because I have that modern day Merlin surf fic still eating my brain. Also some pwp Percival/Merlin, BUT DON'T TELL ANYONE THAT.

GIVE ME RECIPES PLEASE. I've been in a cooking funk, I need something new and yummy to cook.

Just when I think my adoration can't escalate beyond a certain level, he goes and does something ridiculous like look like a stupidly beautiful drug addict. It's all rather unfair.

Housesitting officially starts today, eight weeks baby! Though I'll be fairly evenly spread between my aunt's house and my own by the sound of it, like next week when I'm home for the entire working week, but just a heads up anyway. The house has a computer and all but I'll most likely only be using my iPod, so you'll either not hear very much from me in the way of comments because typing on the iPod is fucking hard labour, or you'll be hearing a little too much from me because there is shit-all to do. Apologies in advance for both instances.

ONE YEAR SMOKE FREE! I'd been smoking since 2000 and never actually thought I could quit successfully, at the most I think I was just hoping to cut down, but pfft, it was so much easier than I'd ever imagined. I should go create a tumblr called fuck yeah me, because seriously. FUCK YEAH ME!

Ever since I posted that Men In Tights gif the other day, I've been mentally casting Merlin characters into that film, mostly, if I'm honest, because I want to see Leon as Little John (Don't let my name fool you. In real life, I'm veeeery big). And if we were going for the slash version, which, come on, it's ME, of course we are; Arthur would have to be Robin Hood because he's blonde and dashing (and unlike some other Robin Hoods, he can speak with an English accent); which means Merlin would be Maid Marian (I must warn you - it could only be a kiss. For I am a virgin and could never...go all the way. Unless I were married. Or if a man pledged his endless love to me. Or if I knew that he desperately cared for me. Or if he were really cute!) and Gaius would be his maidservant, Broomhilde, who's always cockblocking Marian!Merlin (NO DING DING WITHOUT A WEDDING RING). Lancelot would of course be Will Scarlet because of the HAIR and Gawain would be Achoo because I suspect he's snarky and I never really got around to casting the girls but I suppose Morgana could be the witch, Latrine (Raven's egg, blood of a hen! A little more blood, yes! Eyeballs of a crocodile, testicles of a newt...I guess he's a transsexual now.) which OH OH OH means Alvarr could be the Sheriff of Rottingham because Latrine!Morgana totes has a thing for him and he already has the beard going on. So Gwen could be...Blinkin? IDK IDK, holes, but ahhh. The things that amuse my mind.

I've had a lot to say about these films over the past ten years and of course they don't come close to comparing to the books, but I'm not gonna lie, I almost cried watching this.
