I've had a lot to say about these films over the past ten years and of course they don't come close to comparing to the books, but I'm not gonna lie, I almost cried watching this.
I hated the 7th book, really. I can only hope that the film turns out better, like the 6th one, where the book was ugh, too. Although I normally adore the books, the last two were just moneymakers in my opinion. Write what people want to hearr. Nu-uh.
The trailer looks awesome though. :D It's a shame, that we have to wait another 4 months for them to be shown in German movie theaters, because they insist on synchronizing them instead of just showing them with subtitles. Sigh.²
I hope we get to see more of the older generation - Remus, Severus and such. Especially the whole story with Severus and Lily. The trailer seems pretty battle/Harry vs. Voldemort centric, but who knows. :D
Aww no, not the seventh book! I'm with you on the sixth, that was my least favourite one, but the seventh had some great moments, epilogue excluded of course.
Four months? Oh, you poor thing! And I thought I had it bad with my country and sometimes having to wait a few extra weeks.
Last I heard, they'd cast young Sirius for Snape's flashback, so it looks like we'll definitely see that!
I am seriously JUST NOW seeing this even though it's been all over the internet. AUUUGH.
ffffffffffffff Harry! I got chills at that beginning, and my heart ached every time I saw sad!Ron and/or Hermione. Have to reread the series now and metaphorically cuddle these boys. ♥
The beginning is what set me off, when Harry squeezes his eyes shut as he prepares to die? EPIC.
I'm still trying to decide if I'll reread the series. On the one hand, it'll refresh me and get me pumped up. On the other, I've always looked at the books and films as separate from each other, I like going in with only a vague remembrance of what's going to happen, otherwise I can spend the entire film going 'okay, this happens and now this and then they do this' and it takes away the experience.
READ THEM OMG. I'm as serious about this as I am about Sufjan. Even more so. Don't even wonder about your coolness cred, if Bradley James can read them, they're cool, okay?
um, no. no one is too cool for magic. I will attempt to read them all before Part 1 comes out. (y) I've watched the movies..I'm just one of those people that's read two books in their lifetime.
Alright, I've been meaning to ask for ages, what's your beef with Watson? Did she kick your puppy? Steal your boyfriend? Plant a nuclear warhead in underground London?
It's sad to say but I can't actually imagine my life without some new Potter thing coming out. I don't want to live in that kind of world :(((( I need the potential Potter encyclopaedia, man!
