In which the countdown begins...again
Deathly Hallows, wooooo!
I dunno, I dunno, I'm still on an I FINALLY SAW IT high, but I think it's the thumbs up. I'm seeing it again tomorrow in any case, because a) I owed a friend and b) I missed three separate parts due to my bladder being a big bitch.
Point form power because my mind is kind of all over the shop and it's easier:
Things I remember I liked:
Things I remember I didn't like:
And that's all I really remember at the moment, my brain is a bit fuzzy. Oh, I cried during Dobby's death. It was a bit annoying, I mean, he gives this speech before leaving Malfoy Manor and I kind of just rolled my eyes and was like, oh yeah, play it up, Kloves, BUT THEN I TOTALLY CRIED ANYWAY, it's sort of hard not to. I teared up at Hedwig's death, but it really goes by quickly. And you didn't see Mad-Eye die, just like the book, but it's mentioned, though I didn't cry. He's actually really funny though beforehand, he's part of why I enjoyed the seven Potters scene so much.
And now bed. Eight-ish months to go until the next one!
ETA: SO IN CONCLUSION (and because I've never seen this pic before), THIS GUY:

I dunno, I dunno, I'm still on an I FINALLY SAW IT high, but I think it's the thumbs up. I'm seeing it again tomorrow in any case, because a) I owed a friend and b) I missed three separate parts due to my bladder being a big bitch.
Point form power because my mind is kind of all over the shop and it's easier:
Things I remember I liked:
- Rupert Grint
- The opening 10 minutes up until the flight to the Burrow.
- The animation for The Tale of the Three Brothers. For serious, this might be my favourite part and the whole cinema audience was deadly quiet during. It was really, really captivating. I actually cried here, not because it was sad, but because it just translated so well onto screen.
- The humour.
- Ron/Hermione.
- Harry dancing with Hermione to cheer her up. I know some people are going to hate this scene, but I loved it. It was just really simple, innocent, beautiful friendship.
- The camping was all really good, the locations were gorgeous.
- Jason Isaacs. He looks terrible but in a good way.
Things I remember I didn't like:
- The locket-destroying scene. This is probably just because it's one of my most favourite scenes in the whole series, being that it's such a definitive moment in Ron and Harry's friendship, but I was really let down. They didn't put nearly enough emotion into it. I don't think it was Dan or Rupert's fault either, it looks like a directing decision to me, to underplay it. But yeah. Unimpressed.
- The flight to the Burrow. Unnecessarily stupid action, like when they go through the tunnel and Harry's dangling from the sidecar and RUNNING ALONG THE TOP OF A BUS AS HE'S DRAGGED ALONG. I mean, why is that even necessary, ugh.
- The red armbands the law enforcement at the Ministry wore. YES OKAY, NAZI REFERENCE, DULY NOTED, WARDROBE DEPARTMENT.
And that's all I really remember at the moment, my brain is a bit fuzzy. Oh, I cried during Dobby's death. It was a bit annoying, I mean, he gives this speech before leaving Malfoy Manor and I kind of just rolled my eyes and was like, oh yeah, play it up, Kloves, BUT THEN I TOTALLY CRIED ANYWAY, it's sort of hard not to. negative: totally agree. though I have to say the nazi reference is there in the books as well, they simply made it a tiny bit too obvious but that's probably for those who didn't get it in the books and have to have it thrust into their faces to see it. it didn't bother me too much (mind you I'm German, possibly discussion necessary whether or not I've had too much nazi reference in my life to be bothered much).
I was also a bit disappointed that the talk between Harry and Ron, with Harry telling Ron that there's nothing but friendship between him and Hermione, wasn't there. I would have really loved to see that.
the seven potters scene was hilarious and it was a great farewell, sort of, for Mad-eye though I would have liked a bit more emphasis on the grief afterwards.
i loved the dancing scene, it was so adorable and beautiful*-*.

EEE, you dressed up, what did you wear?

Agh, I didn't even noticed red armbands. Red armbands?? But I wouldn't be surprised; wanting the magical world to be pureblood is nothing if not Nazism, yeah? Obviously I can't say whether they were too much since I didn't even notice them. (The sorting hat could say a thing or two about my dust-filled head.)
Dobby dying should never ever happen. He's just so adorably loyal and so INNOCENT. Like you said, though, Hedwig's death happens so quickly, we only hear of Mad-Eye's death, so they're not quite as touching. Crying about Dobby gave me a headache, argh.
TO CHANGE THE MOOD, I am going to say, in regards to that picture of Rupert (and the man in general): yum.

OH RUPERT GRINT. I went to see the film again yesterday and UNF, you know that scene where everyone is helping put up the wedding tent? AND RON HAS HIS ARM OUTSTRETCHED, HOLDING HIS WAND, AND HIS FOREARM IS ALL SHAPELY MUSCLE ALSKSK:SKJD DELICIOUS.
PS YOU: did you see this entry (http://kylezy.livejournal.com/102521.html)?

can you explain "point form power" to me? I don't understand what this is supposed to mean. is it a thing kewl kids say? is it an Australian thing?
OMG I JUST NOTICED YOUR NAME IS KYLIE AND YOU'RE AUSTRALIAN. I'm totally going to imagine you as Kylie Minogue now, FYI. this is a good thing IMO.
that dancing scene was so fucking cute omg. the shoulder thing Harry did in the beginning was embarrassing though. =X I had to cover my face a bit.
AHH the camping. that shit made me so fucking cold. I couldn't even enjoy it because of the coldness and because..like, where did they poop? what did they eat? I mean, it's all magical and shit but it still made me think things and I'd rather not.
I haven't read anything so I can't agree with your dislikings..it was what was and shit..I didn't realize they had red arm bands either. =X
if it makes you feel better, I cried a little bit too..the tininess ;_;
this dude, he has one of those..I don't know how to describe it..but..something like a 'worn face'? that's what I call it, anyways..because..his face is like an old, worn sweater that you've had for years and you love it so much and just seeing it makes you feel good, you know? or like..you know the way people look when they just wake up and they've got those creases and you're like, their face is probably warm? yea..he has that kind of face and I just want to hang out there. in his face. this makes no sense.

Also, I am happy for you to think I look like Minongue. It is far more preferable, trust me. Now you can dream about my cute tininess.
Aww, yeah, the dancing scene. Dan Rad is always 500 different types of embarrassing though, it's sort of endearing.
THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD READ THE BOOKS, then you can find out what they ate (not where they poop though, sry2say).
YAY, you cried! This is exciting.

I want you to imagine I look like Ricky Martin, okay? I'm not a gay Puerto Rican popstar, but I think I'm pretty close and I would appreciate it if you would do this for me.
I WILL! I want to but..like..I'll just open the book and read one sentence over and over again or stare at a wall..it's terrible. =( it'll happen eventually, I totally want to be part of the cool kids club, with their reading of Harry Potter..and talking of houses and butter beer and shit.

Ohhhh, I really want to know what house you think you'd be in!

Oh ummm I like Slytherin because of all the green but I don't think I'm badass enough for it, so I want to say Hufflepuff cause it sounds fluffy there, like they would appreciate my A+Z adventures. but I dunno shit about what qualities or whatever each house has.

I'm not smart..I'm not even good at math (I took five math classes in high school and I got C's in three of them =x), I just love it for some reason. =s Ravenclaw wouldn't be good for my self esteem.
