In other news, I should have pimped this ages ago but somehow didn't; the Richard Siken fic fest. I'd never heard of Siken before, as I'm not into poetry, but from the excerpts people have posted and the quality of fic produced, he certainly makes me curious. So go check out the fics or be ~inspired. lemniciate and lolafeist both wrote fantastic stuff, as well as the anon (Jenn and I have our suspicions!) who wrote this (finished here) brilliant piece, which made me cry (though to be fair, lately, that is an exceedingly easy thing to make me do).

In other, OTHER news, does anyone play Fruit Ninja on the iPod/iPhone? Like, obsessively? 905 on arcade mode last night, FUCK YEAH!

In the final bit of blathering for today, I think it is time for a Lord of the Rings extended edition dvd rewatch because I have seriously not watched them in forever and I used to be so in love.

Go read the fics! There's all sorts of fandoms involved but I only read the Merlin ones and they're all so good. And the poetry excerpts are really enthralling, I need to check this guy out.

Oh yes, I was thinking this only the other day! It's been at least 3 months since I've watched Lotr movie and about 6 months since I sat down and actually watched all of the extended editions. Gosh I love them ♥

My LotR extended version dvds are collecting dust. I've watched all of "the making of" dvds as well. AS WELL <- Elijah says that a lot in the commentaries. I miss it.

THE COMMENTARIES, oh my gosh, I had such love for them! I think I watched/listened to the commentaries more than I watched the films just by themselves. I loved that cast so hardcore.

Siiiiiken *__* idk, there's just something about the way he puts words together--it's so raw and honest. And someone on the post said something along the lines of: he explores relationships that are vibrant and energetic and restless, ones that haven't been smoothed and worn away by time. There's a kind of timelessness to them, I guess. IDK. I JUST LIKE HIM VERY MUCH.
