*Five seconds later* Oh, okay, at least it's being acknowledged he's a douche. I thought it might have been one of those times where the writers conveniently leave out old details. Aww, they're so cute when they attempt continuity. Who's trying to be a big boy show, then? You are! Yesh you are! *coos*

*The Merlin art department is really fond of glitter this season.

*Does anybody else find it really sexy when Merlin/Colin bows?

*AWWW, falling asleep with his book open, that is fifty different kinds of adorable right there.

*DOUBLE AWW at Arthur caring why Merlin is upset and trying to cheer him up. I am convinced he would have given him a noogie had they been alone.

*Merlin tells Arthur the truth about the poison \o/ Hurrah for smidgeons of honesty!

* Merlin: Do you think you can? Command such magic?
Gaius: There was a time when I could.

= Erectile dysfunction euphemism, y/y?

*Merlin, the manticore is small enough to grab with your hands, just throw it against the wall ffs.

*I'm getting secondhand embarrassment watching Gaius do magic :\ Is it just me or is RW overselling it?

*Overall: maybe it's because I'm not pausing this ep every few seconds to make a joke and therefore I'm a lot more invested in the storyline, but this ep isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I mean, I'd rather have more boys, obviously, but other than that, it's pretty much just your average Merlin episode.
