Why do I not combine my rambles and save everyone's friendlists a bit? Mystery of the universe right there.

Do I or do I not take the new White Stripes album? I like them, I've just never been a massive fan. I'm not feeling that tug of want, to be honest, but if it's really good, someone let me know? In other tough music decisions, I'm very tempted by Anaïs Mitchell's new one. Supposedly it's a folk rock opera about "the story of Orpheus and Eurydice set in post-apocalyptic Depression-era America" [Source]. If there's one thing I can't turn down, it's anything to do with mythology, Listening to her myspace, the album sounds bluesy and jazzy and folky and god, there's no way I'm turning this down. Guest vocals include Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) Greg Brown, Ani DiFranco, the Haden Triplets and Ben Knox (The Low Anthem).

Six months without smoking, bitches! I am so boss.

Jake and Amir was really gay today.

Coupled with that Streeter Theeter the other day where Street and Pat's characters looked like they were enjoying watching other dudes fap on Chat Roulette, CH might be coming into what I like to call The Gay Season. Last year for about 2 or 3 months, for seemingly no reason, a lot of the videos they put out had a good handful of gay themes. I'm thinking of that four-way kiss video in particular (Something Different, I had to look it up), Introspective Jake, Cargo Party, Realizations, Spooning, etc. I hope I'm right about this!

i am fond of the white stripes for nostalgic reasons, but i am really feeling the fuck out of the (relatively) new beach house...sooo good.

Quitting has been way easier than I thought it would be, I hope you're succeed one day too. How long have you smoked for?

mmm since I was 16, so about 4 years? i've tried to quit a couple of times, it's just hard because i like smoking and don't particularly want to quit, which is bad..i'm better at home because my mom thinks i've quit/thinks it's only when i drink, but when i'm away at university it's terrible haha. hopefully i'll be able to stop once i leave school. how long did you smoke for?

I smoked from 99 to 09, so 10 years. I was sort of like you though, I never used to smoke at home because I lived with my grandfather and he's very anti-smoking, so I suppose that helped me in the quitting process.

That's what stalled me the first few times I tried to quit; the fact that I didn't want to because I enjoyed it. But then there seemed to be a rush of smoking-related diseases that hit my family and their friends and I'm like, well, fuck that. Lung cancer is supposed to be a horrific way to die. GUILT GUILT GUILT :P
