Date: 2010-09-02 05:35 pm (UTC)I'm so not a book snob, my choices for the first two questions are going to be laughable, jsyk.
JK Rowling. I know, I know, she's not great and I really can't bring myself to like book six, but still, that series means a lot to me.
Same goes for Tolkien, he could have done with a better editor, but Lord of the Rings as a whole, is amazing.
Neil Gaiman
Douglas Adams
And this is super lame, but I love Nigella Lawson's cookbooks
"Such is oft the course of deeds that move the wheels of the world: small hands do them because they must, while the eyes of the great are elsewhere."
- The Fellowship of the Ring
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
- The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
"I certainly have not the talent which some people possess," said Darcy, "of conversing easily with those I have never seen before. I cannot catch their tone of conversation, or appear interested in their concerns, as I often see done."
"My fingers," said Elizabeth, "do not move over this instrument in the masterly manner which I see so many women's do. They have not the same force or rapidity, and do not produce the same expression. But then I have always supposed it to be my own fault - because I would not take the trouble of practising."
- Pride & Prejudice
The only reason why we ask other people how their weekend was is so we can tell them about our own weekend.
- Invisible Monsters
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
1. Dolores Umbridge (HP)
2. Gollum (LOTR)
3. Spike (Buffy)
4. Mugatu (Zoolander)
5. T-Rex from Jurassic Park XD
I haven't been anywhere! I do love my city though, it has everything: beaches, nightlife and rainforests.

Quoting this immediately makes you awesome in my book.
Umbridge. ♥ I wuv her.
I need to rewatch Jurassic Park. XD I was such a dinosaur nerd when I was like 5-6 years old, I knew all the Latin names, and when I mean all I'm talking about every fucking one. It was a bit scary, really.
So, no matter if the dinosaurs in Jurassic Parc turned out to be people eating meanies, I still thought they were the shit.
I miss my old self. :D
Aww, you need to visit London! :D And meee in Frankfurt sometimes.
But your city sounds awesome, too. Yep. Beaches. ;o;
