Firstly, big hiya to my new Merlin friends *touches you all inappropriately*
Reason #42 why Merlin is the gayest show on tv:

A good looking dude uses his clothing to soothe the wound of his injured friend/love interest, where have I seen this before...

OH RIGHT, IN THIS PIECE OF GIANT UNSUBTLE-NESS. No subtext indeed.
Back to the gif for a second. I can sit here and watch it for a few minutes straight and Bradley's crazy eyes make me laugh every damn time <3 Also, I'm not a Twilight fan, I feel like I should disclaim this.
I'm working on a Bradley/Colin fanmix and I'm onto the (most likely) last song. Home by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros fits perfectly, but I feel like it's such a well known song now, somebody has most likely used it on another mix. I've no doubt I've unknowingly used songs that have appeared on other mixes, but I never do this deliberately, I always try to pick songs that other people haven't related back to fandom yet. So:
a) Have you seen this song on a Merlin fanmix before? I could stay ignorant because I genuinely can't recall seeing it, but it's really bugging me because I'm sure SOMEONE MUST HAVE USED IT and I don't want to be a song stealer-er.
b) Can you suggest any other songs that say 'HEY, I'VE MISSED YOU AND ALSO SORT OF LOVE YOU A LOT'? It is with a great sense of shame I ask you this, flist, I never ask for help with song choices, nevaaaah. My pride, it wanes.

Day 10 - A song that no one would expect you to love
Day 11 - A song that describes you
Day 12 - A song from your favorite album
Day 13 - A song that you listen to when you're angry
Day 14 - A song that you listen to when you're happy
Day 15 - A song that you listen to when you're sad
Day 16 - A song that you want to play at your wedding
Day 17 - A song that you want to play at your funeral
Day 18 - A song that makes you laugh

Date: 2010-05-28 11:47 pm (UTC)As to other songs, one of my fave "I've missed you and also sort of love you" songs is 'My Old Man' by Joni Mitchell (though whether or not it would be compatible with other songs on the mix is a different story, of course).
Um, what else? Oh, 'I Was Unconscious, it Was a Dream' by Slow Club. 'Tambourine 'n' Thyme' by Nana Grizol, maybe? 'Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis' by Tom Waits, but that's not really a Bradley/Colin fanmix type of track (useless suggestion much, Ria? *rolls eyes*).

Date: 2010-05-29 04:51 am (UTC)Thanks for your help, Ria <3 Tambourine 'n' Thyme has fantastic lyrics:
And I can sit here every night, yes I can watch the world go by,
And know that I'm in motion to occasionally think of you,
And just hope that you realize that when you sit here by my side,
Whatever that implies will be just fine.
Wow. That's perfect. I'm gonna have to find this one and download!

Date: 2010-05-29 11:50 am (UTC)I adore 'So Yeah'. It was one of my favourites of last year. I saw Slow Club earlier this year, while they were out here supporting Camera Obscura, and were bloody brilliant. I ended up being more excited about them than Camera Obscura.
