It's not even the end of January and already we've had so many albums out that I've been excited for; Eels, Owen Pallett, Vampire Weekend, Massive Attack, Spoon, Adam Green, Magnetic Fields and Seabear. The rest of the year has a lot to live up to, I'm just saying. What else is coming over the next 11 months?

There are not enough Arthur/Merlin, Bradley/Colin boarding school fics out there. This makes me sad. What are they, if not a nicer version of Draco and Harry?

Does anybody know what dreaming of dinosaurs means?

Australia is doing really well in this cricket series against Pakistan. I won't say any more though, I don't want to jinx anything (because clearly I am THAT GUY, the one who doesn't breathe if that's what it takes to keep the luck running our way).

I have decided to save up for an iPod touch. My nano is on its death bed, I doubt it has got another year in it and 8GB is not enough, despite reassuring myself it was plenty when I first got it two years ago. I think I'm going for the 32GB, purely because it's cheaper and I don't have the patience to save up even more money for the 64GB.

Speaking of Apple products, what the fuck is the tablet and why does every Mac user have an orgasm any time it's mentioned?

Catering for Nadeen again this weekend, making an ice cream cake for the kids and maybe something sweet for the adults. The pavlova and cake I made for her the other week went down well apparently, except that the guy the pav was for didn't like it. Which is disappointing in one way, but according to Nadeen, everybody else thought it was heaven.

I really, really hate this time of year. It was crappy for me this time last year too. I suspect sorcery.

Is it bed time again yet?

There can NEVER be enough boarding school fic, it is an irrefutable fact! They are kind of a nicer version of Draco/Harry, now that you mention it. Except only one has magic and there is far more of a chance of them actually getting together (in my mind, anyways).

Or, in the case of Bradley and Colin, neither have magic and neither are as mean as Malfoy. My analogy might need some work. But really, is it too much to ask for inexperienced hate sex, followed by a slow burning love between two people who think they will never have a real chance to be together? I submit this question to the universe!

I have always, always dreamt of dinosaurs. The one dream subject that I have to wake myself up from, because the dreams tend to be terrifying. I once had a dream that this T-rex had Vince Vaughan in its mouth but Vince was so strong, he broke the dinosaur's jaw, King Kong style. Which doesn't sound that bad, but it was fucking graphic and gross. Mostly, I dream of T-rexes or Raptors circling my house. I'm either running away and hiding from a T-rex, who inevitably looks in through the window of the room I'm hiding in, or trying to keep doors locked that raptors are opening. It's never happy, fluffy dreams of riding a Triceratops through the park or something, oh no.

The ipod touch is the perfect thing for people who are easily amused by technolgy, such as myself. I'd go for the iphone instead (because I get really excited about GPS) except I don't make nearly enough calls to justify getting one.

no lie, we were talking about this mysterious tablet yesterday in art. i guess it's going to be like some large version of an iphone with a virtual keyboard and stufffff. so basically like a computer only NOT idek. like a computer installed in a tablet. i'm not really getting the hype for it, it'll be hella expensive when it comes out.

Haha, me too. Like, if I'm not there watching it it throws off the balance in the universe and it all goes wrong. Silly. It gets especially ridiculous during the footy season, lol.

OMG music has been amazing this year. ALREADY. We're not even a month in! Plus, new stuff from Interpol, Arcade Fire, She & Him, FLEET FOXES (♥), The Thermals, and OMG SHEARWATER (!!!) coming up later in 2010 as well, apparently.
