Sorry if that ruined your friend page there btw, just feeling the need to be self-critical. Don't pity me, I don't need it. Anyway, how bloody awesome were the Ashes?!

I think I only have about two people on my flist who follow cricket and if you're not Aussie or English you probably don't know or care what the Ashes are. All you should know is that it's the biggest series in test match cricket and Australia won 5-0, something that has only been done once before and that was 86 years ago. The Aussies slaughtered the Poms and it was sweet, sweet revenge for last year when they snatched the Ashes away from us 2-1 (the other 2 games were drawn). Good on ya Ricky Ponting, that'll shut the critics up for a while.

What made the final win so much more memorable was that 2 of the best bowlers EVER and one of our best ever opening batsmen all retired from test match cricket. I don't think I've ever seen a more emotional series. It was beautiful.

The Aussie Celebration

My reason for not posting in so long is that I got a few new games that I've become addicted to, The Sims 2 and all its expansion packs and Age of Empires 3 and its expansion, Warchiefs. Very addictive indeed. I've also been housesitting a lot. Even housesat Christmas night. Hope you all had a good one btw. And a fantastic New Year.

A few piccies to share:

When I was looking after my aunt's place, a special visitor dropped in

Can you spot something that maybe shouldn't be sleeping atop a pile of clothes?

My new computer monitor, thanks Santa!

The view from a highrise in Surfers Paradise

Music I'm into at the mo (not actually gonna post any, I don't think anyone takes it, but ask if you're interested or want any songs): Arctic Monkeys, Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, Snow Patrol and Kasabian.

Love

Kylie

ah cool, what games be they? am semi-eagerly awaiting the expansion for warcraft right now, on the one hand it looks fun, on the other hand bye-bye life >.<

and yes my frying pan is very very sexy, or, should i say 'skillet' as the lable termed it, far superior to a frying pan!

and, well, i'm not entirely sure why i swilled (isn't it just) my tea. think i was just bored and swirling the last half-inch around the cup. at least, that's my excuse, and i'm sticking to it.

anyway you were still just lucky about the wholse cricket thing, we'll get them back next time! and we never liked that game anyway...it's a silly game.

Skillet ey? Sounds like a hybrid word from skinning and filleting, for example, You have to skillet a fish before you eat it . Tis far to fancy for me to even comprehend!

I got The Sims 2 and all its expansions and Age of Empires 3 and its expansion, Warchiefs. Bye-bye life indeed.
