Discussion! So, it's been a few months since Merlin ended and I know a lot of us are still sad, and it got me thinking a bit about Merlin and how he'd be feeling. So my question for you is, in canon, three months on (now almost four), where do you think Merlin is? Emotionally, physically. Basically, what's your Merlin headcanon for the months after Arthur dies?

OMG, the word excitement does NOT fully cover what I'm feeling over Arrested Development coming back. AD is pretty much my favorite sitcom ever (Community is a close second - and yes, I agree with you, it's not the same this year and I'm sorely missing Dan Harmon...yes, there are still those freakin' AMAZING Community moments in it here and there, but it's just not the same.) and I'm gearing up to pop my DVDs in to do yet ANOTHER rewatch before the new season starts.

Also, VIKINGS!! Yesss. THREESOME. THREESOME. THREESOME.

Oh god, I cannot even think about Merlin right now. All I can imagine is that he's still so raw and lost and ugh, my heart hurts so much. ;___;

This is probably my sixth rewatch and I'm almost finished s2 and I swear I've spotted like six new jokes I'd never noticed before. I don't understand how it just keeps getting better <3

merlin figures out time travel 2 secs after arthur dies and he zooms to whenever arthur's woken up, and then merlin's like, oh shit, dude! i time traveled! and you died! and i didn't save you! and i'm a sorcerer! oh shit, dude! and then arthur's like, bro, don't even trip, it's been FOREVER, it's cool, bro, cus you're my most favorite duder man bro. and then they go fight zombie robots and they find the knights and gwen and morgana and they're all BFFs, and they totes fuck up the zombie robots, NASTY hxc style with leather jackets and aviators and the world is saved and everyone is super gay. i used to watch it with my sister sometimes, but i don't think she's had time to watch it so i haven't seen anything recently. besides it used to be on while i was in class and i never cared enough to dl. i prob should, after my ad rewatch. which will happen after i rewatch s1 of got and FINALLY watch s2. after i watch all the horror movies i have on my comp. omg dude, i dl-ed blacula?? i'm so excited??? !!

Merlin, the first few months, after Arthur dies? God, I'm trying not to really even acknowledge that what happened at the end happened, but if I were to think about it I think Merlin is still a walking wound right now. I think he went back to Ealdor briefly after it happened and saw his mother and Gaius. But after that he went off on his own and is just still basically living a limited exitence. Eating and sleeping, but not much else. *sob*

Yesss, I think the same thing, I don't think he could bear going back to Camelot. In my bleaker moments, I don't know if he could even face going back to Ealdor, but for the sake of my heart, that's what I prefer to think. MERLIN ;__;

I rarely use that icon because even thinking about that scene, still makes me sad.

Sometimes I do think he might not have even been able to make it back to Ealdor. As a Merlin/Arthur fan I do sometimes like to think that the loss of Arthur is too great for Merlin that he has to just completely start over somewhere else. But I hate thinking of Merlin that devastated and hs mother was important to him, so I do think that perhaps very briefly he makes it to Ealdor.
