On an unrelated note: I was thinking about Dead Like Me which led me to think about Bryan Fuller which led me to think about Pushing Daisies which led me to wondering - where are the m/a or b/c fics in relation to this 'verse? It has ridic potential for kink, seeing as how the characters can never touch. Come on fandom, I mean really. There would be so much comeplay, I'm just saying. And one of those life-like sex dolls that Merlin or Bradley would inevitably become attached to and name Ivan or something.

PLUS THEY WOULD SOLVE CRIMES. AND BAKE.

Dude. Dude. Pushing Daisies is MAGICAL. So, there's Ned, right (HELLO LEE PACE, YOU ARE ADORABLE), the pie maker, and he can touch dead things and bring them back to life. If he touches the thing again though, it dies and stays dead for good. Enter Chuck (HELLO ANNA FRIEL, YOU ARE ADORABLE), his childhood sweetheart, who gets killed on vacation. Ned, who works in cahoots with a Private Detective on the side (easy to solve crimes and get a cash reward if you can wake the victim and ask who did it), is tasked to find out who killed her, so he wakes her up but finds he doesn't want to let her die again because HELLO TRUE LOVE, you know. So yeah, they are in love but they can never touch. And I know it sounds angsty but surprisingly, it's not overblown. It's lovely and a little bit dark and a lot bit sassy (think 30's/40's sass with the fast talking and the OUTFITS) and it's a bit like the film Amelie what with the whimsy and the fairytale feel and THE COLOURS, Jenn, you will want to lick your screen, I'm not even kidding.

It's only two seasons long, watch it, watch it, watch it.
